The site uses no cookies except the ones Cloudflare Turnstile sets while verifying forms (checkout, trial, quote request) — they're required to protect against automated requests and can't be turned off. We measure traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies at all and doesn't track individual visitors across sites.

What the add-in sends to the server

The add-in (e.g. SwxClickUp) checks its license against howitsolid.com/license on startup and periodically while running. Each check writes to the license_checks table:

• the user ID the license is assigned to,
• the product ID (e.g. swx-clickup-addin),
• the result (allowed/denied and why),
• the installed add-in version,
• the check timestamp.

The content you work with in the CAD application (models, assemblies, tasks) is never sent — the license check doesn't read document content at all.

How long we keep data

• license_checks — 12 months from the write.
• checkout_intents (an in-progress or completed purchase) — 90 days after payment or expiry.
• trial_requests — 30 days after the link expires.
• rate_counters (abuse protection for forms) — 48 hours.

After the retention period, rows are deleted automatically by a scheduled job on the backend.

Who sees the data

Data is processed only by HowItSolid and its infrastructure provider (Cloudflare — hosting, D1 database, attack protection) and Stripe (payments, billing details). We never sell or share data with anyone else.
