SWx ClickUp Add-in

See your ClickUp task without letting go of the model — a task pane next to the feature tree shows what's in progress, what's done, and what's waiting for review on the current assembly.

How it works

  1. Open the task pane

    It's added as a standard task pane next to the feature tree. Sign in once via ClickUp OAuth, and the task list then filters automatically by the open document.

  2. Click a part

    The selected part in the model pairs up with a task based on the part name or a label you set in ClickUp. No manual ID copying.

  3. Close the task from SolidWorks

    Change status, add a comment, or reassign right from the panel. Switching to a browser is only needed for what the task pane can't do.

Floating seats

Five purchased seats cover eight people in the office — SwxClickUp releases a seat as soon as SolidWorks closes or sits idle for 15 minutes, and the next colleague gets it right away. The add-in shows you how many seats are running and who's holding them.

SwxClickUp is a few dozen MB and installs like any other SolidWorks add-in via MSI. Supports SolidWorks 2021 through 2026, 64-bit, Windows 10 and 11.

FAQ

Does it work with SolidWorks PDM?

Yes, the task pane reads the open document regardless of whether it's under PDM management or not. Nothing in PDM changes because of the add-in.

Where is my ClickUp sign-in stored?

The OAuth token stays only on your computer, in your Windows user profile. SwxClickUp only sends a license check to the HowItSolid server, never task content.

What happens if the company hasn't bought enough seats?

A colleague who doesn't fit gets a message in the add-in showing how many seats are taken and roughly when one might free up — SolidWorks itself won't crash, the task pane just won't load.
