How it works

Open the task pane
It docks like a standard task pane next to the feature tree. Sign in once via ClickUp OAuth, and the task list then filters automatically by the open document.

Click a component
The selected component in the model is matched to a task by part name or the tag you set up in ClickUp. No manual ID copying.

Close the task from SolidWorks
Status changes, comments, or reassignment can be written straight from the panel. Switching to the browser is only needed for what the task pane can't do.
Floating seats
Five purchased seats cover eight people in the office — a SwxClickUp seat frees up as soon as you close SolidWorks or go 15 minutes idle, and the next colleague gets it right away. You can see it in the add-in too: how many seats are running now and who holds them.

SwxClickUp installs in a few MB as a standard SolidWorks add-in via MSI. Supports SolidWorks 2023 to 2026, 64-bit, Windows 10 and 11.
FAQ
Does it work with SolidWorks PDM?
Yes, the task pane reads the open document regardless of whether it's under PDM management. The add-in doesn't change anything in PDM.
Where is my ClickUp login stored?
The OAuth token stays only on your computer, in your Windows user profile. SwxClickUp only sends a license check to the HowItSolid server, never task content.
What happens if the company hasn't bought enough seats?
A colleague who doesn't fit gets a message in the add-in showing how many seats are taken and when one is likely to free up — SolidWorks doesn't crash, the task pane just doesn't load.
